Gentle Beginnings with Unique Births
Gentle Beginnings – A Unique Postnatal Group
Welcome to Gentle Beginnings – a weekly postnatal group for mums and birthing parents with babies aged 0–6 months.
Unlike most baby groups, Gentle Beginnings is not about fixing sleep or feeding patterns, or ticking milestones. It’s about you – your wellbeing, your voice, and your experience of the early months of parenthood.
This is a gentle, safe, and supportive space where you can simply be. Some weeks you may feel like joining in a group conversation about the highs and lows of parenthood, while other weeks you may just want to sit back with coffee, cake, and the reassurance that you’re not alone.
Our qualified postnatal practitioner and in-house feeding expert are there every week – not to judge or tell you what to do, but to listen, support, and hold space. We believe parents don’t need to be “fixed” any more than their babies do. Instead, we focus on how you are coping with the reality of broken sleep, changing emotions, and all the demands of new parenthood.
Parents tell us this group is “the space I didn’t know I needed,” “the thing that saved me in those early weeks,” and “the only group where I could be completely honest.”
Why join Gentle Beginnings?
A postnatal group that focuses on the parent, not just the baby
A safe, welcoming space to share honestly – the good and the hard
No judgement, no pressure, no cliques
Connection with other new parents who get it
Support from qualified practitioners who combine kindness with expertise
Coffee, cake, and the freedom to just be yourself
Price: £7.50Includes hot drink and cake

Home Ed Tuesday
This is the first session of a block of 6 lessons (5 for Creative English - no session this week, and maths - no lesson on Tuesday 30th September)
Maths GCSE/ Higher KS3 (No session on 30th September)
Foundation GCSE/Higher KS3 - 2pm - 2:45pm
Higher - 2:55pm - 3:40pm
The GCSE lessons taught by Katie run twice a week. For those who wish to cover the syllabus in one year they would need to do both lessons, or to cover over two years they should take one lesson a week. We will be working towards the IGCSE Mathematics syllabus in order that students can, if they wish, take their exams in November even if they are not 16. As the IGSCe syllabus includes the vast majority of the GCSE syllabus it would still be possible to sit the GCSE if you prefer.
These lessons include homework which is expected to be handed in each week in order to track progress, as well as termly assessments for children to complete at home and hand in.
The Foundation GCSE is also suitable for children working at higher KS3 level as the content is almost the same.
If you would like advice about which level to enter your child for please send us a message.
