Saturday Art & Craft Club
Our Saturday art and craft club with our Children’s Coordinator Alison.
In this group we will be working on different projects or with a different medium each week, sometimes looking at different artists and taking inspiration from various sources. Great for those who want to create projects using inspiration and their imagination. Unfinished projects can be either taken home to complete or we can keep them until the child artist next joins us.
Example projects could include watercolours, sewing, printing, card making, drawing, pottery and lots more!
Arts Award Discover
Arts Award Discover
At The Place Stamford we will be covering the discover award over 10 weeks, looking at different types of art, exploring inspirational artists, taking part in a variety of arts projects and completing out arts logs. Eight weeks will be with our Arts Award Teacher Katie completing the work towards the arts award, trying out new art skills, working on a final project and completing an arts award journal. The remaining weeks will be with our Children’s Coordinator Alison and will lay art and craft foundations to enable us to complete out Arts Award work.
The course will take place on 28th March, 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th March, 18th, 25th April and 2nd, 9th and 16th May. If you would like to join but will miss any of the sessions, get in touch and we can work around it to ensure your child meets all the goals.
Arts Award Discover is a nationally recognized, introductory-level Arts Award qualification for children and young people (ages 5 and up), managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England. Participants create a personal "arts log" (portfolio) to evidence their creative experiences, including taking part in arts activities, researching an artist, and sharing their discoveries. It serves as a foundational award, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence, and acts as a springboard to the higher-level Arts Award qualifications.

Those that already know some crochet can have help reading patterns, help with their current projects, or Alison can provide inspiration for what to make next.
A lovely relaxed social group for young crocheters!

Skincare Workshops with Bettie Brown's Boutique
Elaine from Bettie Browns Boutique is back for another fabulous skincare workshop. Create your own face oil and face mask, for ages 12+
Choose from a selection of carrier oils after testing them out and learning about their properties and what benefits they offer your skin. Then select your essential oils, combining aromas that you prefer, or leave your oil unscented, it’s up to you, this is your blend. At the end of your workshop, you will take away your blend in a 30ml dropper bottle, for you to use at home. Each bottle will be labelled with full ingredients at the workshop so come with ideas of what you want your oil to be named.
You will also make 50g face and body mask that you mix at home. A base recipe will be provided for you to add which clay suits your skin the best. You will be provided with a bowl and spoon to mix your mask with water at home (please note you will take your mask home in a pouch not a tin as pictured).

Children's Crochet Club
Our Children’s Coordinator, Alison, is running a new crochet club for children age 7+. It’s suitable for all abilities - if they are new to crochet then Alison will help them get started by working on a chain. Those that already know some crochet can have help reading patterns, help with their current projects, or Alison can provide inspiration for what to make next.
A lovely relaxed social group for young crocheters!

This workshop, aimed at children ages 7+, includes three fabulous activities. Over the 75mins children will use acrylic paint pens to decorate their own notebook, create elasticated beaded bracelets and paint and draw their own watercolour bookmark, complete with tassel.
This is our most popular children’s party package and we are very excited to open it up to all children ages 7+.

Skincare Workshops with Bettie Brown's Boutique
Create your own face oil and face mask with Bettie Brown’s Boutique. For ages 12+
Choose from a selection of carrier oils after testing them out and learning about their properties and what benefits they offer your skin. Then select your essential oils, combining aromas that you prefer, or leave your oil unscented, its up to you, this is your blend.
