Arts Award Discover Group 2 - Ages 10+
Arts Award Discover is a nationally recognized, introductory-level Arts Award qualification for children and young people (ages 5 and up), managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England. Participants create a personal "arts log" (portfolio) to evidence their creative experiences, including taking part in arts activities, researching an artist, and sharing their discoveries. It serves as a foundational award, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence, and acts as a springboard to the higher-level Arts Award qualifications.
At The Place Stamford we will be covering the discover award over 10 weeks, looking at different types of art, exploring inspirational artists, taking part in a variety of arts projects and completing out arts logs.
The course will take place on 20th September, 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th October, 8th, 15th, 29th November, 6th and 13th December. If you would like to join but will miss any of the sessions, get in touch and we can work around it to ensure your child meets all the goals.
