Home Ed Friday - Week 3

This is the third week in a block of 6 sessions.

Religious Studies 9:45am - 10:30am

In this comparative religion unit learners will explore ideas about what we mean about religion, followed by a look at the concepts at the centre of the major religious traditions.

This session is run by Tom, a RS and Philososphy teacher and home educating dad. It is aimed mainly at ages approx 10 - 16 though older children are very welcome to join.

Philosophy 10:35am - 11:20am

In this session Tom will be leading students to question everything they think they know!

This session is run by Tom, a RS and Philososphy teacher and home educating dad. It is aimed mainly at ages approx 10 - 16 though older children are very welcome to join.

Debate Club 11:25am - 12:25pm

Children will learn the art of debate. They will look at how to prepare arguments and debate between themselves on a variety of topics, particularly those covered in the RS and Philosophy sessions although students do not need to have attended these to take part.

General info

If you are booking for more than one child then we are able to offer you a 5% discount. Use code Homeedtues2+ at checkout for this. If you currently receive benefits and will struggle to afford for your child to take part in the groups please get in touch as we may be able to offer a discounted place.

Children are welcome to stay between sessions and play in our rooms - we have a wide selection of games and toys, or of course they are welcome to bring their own activities. You are usually welcome to leave children with us during their lessons so long as you remain contactable - we will ask you to come in or to stay if your child needs you, or you are welcome to stay onsite with your child. We do ask that you are on site with your child between lessons and take responsibility for ensuring that your child gets to their lessons, (unless by prior agreement). We have a very busy day with lots of families taking part so the teachers and shop staff are not able to take responsibility for other children. We also ask that you ensure your child clears up after themselves before they leave.

For new families we have a guidance and expectations sheet that we will ask you and your child to agree to when you first join us.
