This is a six week block. In the first week we have a Spanish taster session which will hopefully then be running for the rest of the half term.
The sessions below all run weekly on a Thursday. If you haven’t been before and would like to pay for a single session of any of the lessons then please get in touch with us to arrange. Children are welcome to bring their lunch - we will keep the workshop room free over lunch time for this to help with our tidying at the end of the day. Please ensure that your children clear up after themselves after lunch. Children are welcome to stay between sessions and play in our rooms - we have a wide selection of games and toys, or of course they are welcome to bring their own activities. You are usually welcome to leave children with us during their lessons so long as you remain contactable - we will ask you to come in or stay if your child needs you, or you are welcome to stay onsite with your child. We do ask that you are on site with your child between lessons and take responsibility for ensuring that your child gets to their lessons. We have a very busy day with lots of families taking part so the teachers and shop staff are not able to take responsibility for other children.
We are asking that you sign your children in and out of the sessions each weekas well as getting them to sign our childrens sign in sheet. We also have a guidance and expectations sheet that we will ask you and your child to agree to when you first join us.
Art with Ellie from Artivity - £12pw
These sessions are run by Ellie who teaches children different techniques each week. Both sessions are for all ages - there should be a session that doesn’t clash with other lessons you’d like to do this day, but please get in touch if you can’t see a way to avoid a clash and we will change things round if possible.

Creative English, KS1/KS2 - £4pw

In these sessions we use children’s books to inspire creative writing activities. We will use different books each week. Sessions involve creative writing, English Language activities and illustration.
English, KS3 - £4pw
10:45am - 11:30am
In these sessions we look at different areas of the KS3 English curriculum. Lessons may include creative writing, grammar, fiction and non-fiction texts and writing, comprehension and poetry.
Maths GCSE - £5 pw
11:30am - 12:15pm
These sessions are run by Katie. Children will be starting by covering the GCSE foundation syllabus over 2 - 3 terms before moving on to the higher material. We may ask children to purchase a work book to use alongside the lessons. Homework will be set weekly.

Drama and Games, KS1/KS2 - £4pw
This session is run by Katie. We will play lots of fun games and introduce drama techniques where appropriate.

In musical theatre we have lots of fun singing and dancing, and creating dances and movement to songs including musical theatre numbers.
Drama, UKS2/KS3 - £4pw
2:15pm - 3pm
This drama session is aimed at upper KS2 and KS3 students, looking at different drama techniques each week to encourage creativity and have lots of fun!
Social Session
3pm - 4pm
Although children are welcome to stay on site and play between sessions, we make sure that all our classes are finished by 3pm to give all the children time for a social session together. You are welcome to come just for this hour at a cost of £2, or if you are coming to other sessions in this day then this is free (please choose the appropriate option when booking). We ask that children tidy up before they leave The Place Stamford.
