This is a fantastic opportunity for teens aged 13+ to make their own silver jewellery.
20th September - Silver Wire Jewellery.
In this workshop you will be working with wire to create rings, pendants and earrings. We will start with copper wire while we learn and practice different skills, and decide what we would like our final silver projects to be. If you wish you can also include gemstone beads. We will then use silver wire to make one or two items - choose from earrings, a pendant and a ring. You will take away all your copper and silver jewellery.
18th October - Silver Rings
We will start by measuring, cutting and soldering a single silver ring, adding texture before it is polished. While this is in the tumbler there is time to create a second ring which will be a wraparound style.
15th November - Silver Clay
We will be using a small piece of silver clay to create a pendant earrings or a ring topper. Participants will learn how to fire the clay to turn it in to solid silver and we will then make up out items. Please note - if you would like to make a ring with a silver clay topper we will need to know the ring size in advance so that there is a ring ready. here is an extra charge of £5 for this. Alternatively if you have taken part in one of our previous ring workshop you are welcome to add the topper to a previously made ring.
